About Chanelle
Hi, I’m Chanelle Sullivan—chef, recipe developer, host, and the creator behind Chez Chanelle.
I believe the best memories are made around the table.
Whether it’s a simple weeknight dinner, a summer soirée with friends, or a holiday celebration, food has an incredible way of bringing people together. That’s the heart behind Chez Chanelle: inspiring people to cook with confidence, gather more often, and celebrate life’s everyday moments through beautiful, approachable food.
My philosophy has always been simple: Celebrate Life Through Food.
For me, cooking has never been just about following a recipe. It’s about creating experiences. It’s setting the table, opening a bottle of wine, trying something new, and making ordinary moments feel a little more special. Food is one of the most powerful ways we connect with the people we love, and that’s what continues to inspire everything I create.
Growing up, our home was always filled with incredible food, laughter, and family. Some of my favourite memories were made around a crowded dinner table where everyone was welcome, there was always enough to share, and every milestone—big or small—was celebrated with a home-cooked meal. Those moments taught me that food is so much more than nourishment; it’s tradition, storytelling, and love.
My own journey with food hasn’t always been easy. As a teenager working in the fashion industry, I struggled with anorexia and lost the relationship with food that had once brought me so much joy. Learning to cook became part of finding my way back—not just to food, but to myself. It transformed something I once feared into the greatest source of creativity, connection, and purpose in my life.
Today, I’m incredibly grateful to have turned that passion into a career.
Since competing as a finalist on MasterChef Canada and appearing on Netflix’s Million Dollar Secret, I’ve had the opportunity to partner with leading brands, develop original recipes, interview chefs and food personalities through my series What the Fork Do You Know?, and build a community of people who share my love of gathering around the table.
Whether I’m creating seasonal recipes, discovering local restaurants, hosting conversations with inspiring people, or collaborating with brands I genuinely love, my goal is always the same: to inspire others to cook more, entertain with confidence, and create moments worth remembering.
Because food isn’t just something we eat.
It’s how we connect.
It’s how we celebrate.
It’s how we show love.
Welcome to Chez Chanelle. I’m so happy you’re here.
